ART MATTERS PROGRAMME

The Art Matters Programme

CHILDREN FROM UNDERPRIVILEGED BACKGROUNDS, who would not normally have the opportunity to go to the theatre, will be invited to attend a Sitara performance.  Their magical day out will include transport, a free Sitara souvenir, photos and refreshments.  Sitara takes Arabic versions of their workshops to children with little access to quality art workshops – eg. hospitals and orphanages

HOW ARE YOUR DONATIONS USED?

Sitara offers their workshops and shows for free.  Your donations are used to help pay for transport, refreshments, souvenirs and for studio time – re-recording our English workshops into Arabic.

We are delighted to announce that we are launching our Art Matters Programme on 20^th May 2010 with two free shows for over 100 refugees.

Thanks to the generous support from New Cairo British International School who are providing transport and refreshments, the children aged from 3-11 will be brought to Sitara to enjoy 2 free shows of Jack and the Beanstalk.

A big thank you to other generous Sitara donors, whose donations will enable our guests to to receive a free magic stick

If anyone knows of any other underprivileged children with enough English to enjoy Sitara shows please let us know.  Please also let us know of any suitable venues for our ‘Arabic’ version workshops.
