Summer Programme 2009
Sitara presents its unique touring Shadow Puppet Workshop:
- A shadow puppet show written and directed by Emma Davies; lip synch and shadow puppets designed by John Barber. This year Sitara offers Rapunzel, the classic fairytale of a girl locked in a tower by an evil witch; our usual combination of puppets, music and laughter. (Approx 25 minutes)
- A demonstration of how shadow puppets work and are operated (Approx 10 minutes)
- Students make their own shadow puppets and get the chance to operate them. (Approx 45 minutes)
Drama Workshops
Drama workshops for students of all ages at your school. Devised and delivered by Emma Davies and Sophie Mohsen. Sitara has its own Saturday Club and Emma and Sophie have run workshops in many international schools here in Cairo, eg. MBIS, NCBIS, BSC, CBS, CISE. (Approx 1¼ hours)
And still running, their acclaimed show: ALADDIN
Kids loved it….. it was really exciting. I love the play; very age appropriate. I especially like how the play is for kids, but some of the dialogue is more for adults! Caryn Pelletier, AIS
