ART MATTERS PROGRAMME
The
Art Matters Programme
CHILDREN FROM UNDERPRIVILEGED BACKGROUNDS, who would not normally
have the opportunity to go to the theatre, will be invited to attend
a Sitara performance.
Their magical day out will include transport, a free Sitara
souvenir, photos and refreshments.

We are delighted to announce that we launched our
Art Matters Programme on 20th May 2010 with two free shows for some
Sudanese refugees.

Thanks to the generous support from New Cairo
British International School who are providing transport and
refreshments, over 100 children aged from 3-11 came to Sitara to
enjoy Jack and the Beanstalk.
A
big thank you to other generous Sitara donors, whose donations will
enable our guests to to receive a free magic stick
If
anyone knows of any other underprivileged children with enough
English to enjoy the Sitara experience please let us know.
We welcome all donations for this programme.
Goodbyes and Welcomes
We were very sad to say goodbye to our good
friend and colleague, Reem, who worked with us for over a year.
Thank you for all your hard work, Reem. We’ll miss you.
Welcome to Dahlia Abou-Azama our new performer /
puppeteer. Dahlia is
graduating from AUC this year and is passionate about theatre.
Watch out for her excellent performances in both Jack and the
Beanstalk and Cinderella in Marina.

“I’ll be back” – WITCH WANDA AND HER
MISERABLE CAT WALTER RETURN TO SITARA
Two
children lost in the forest, a house made out of
gingerbread, one hungry witch.... can disaster be avoided?
Once again Sitara creates a magical
experience for children aged 3-11.
With puppets and masks by John Barber, Emma Davies
and the Sitara Team lead us to happily ever after with their
unique brand of interactive theatre.
