Based in New Cairo, Sitara offers
quality Theatre in Education in English. Lights, Sound,
Scenery, Costume, Props, Puppets, Masks and Music create a
magical occasion
for the children of Cairo.
But Sitara has one BIG difference, offering a uniquely
interactive experience. Everyone is invited to help tell the
story, while a handful of young audience members are asked
to become characters in the play, working alongside
professional performers and puppeteers.
Puppets and masks designed by the acclaimed UK artist, John
Barber.
Performed, written and directed by Emma Davies and the
Sitara team.
Since it opened in October 2008, Sitara has played to over
30,000 children and over 50 different international and
national schools.
Sitara also offers a range of performing art workshops from
puppet making to mime and movement.Sitara shows and workshops are aimed at children aged
3-14 and are available to schools and nurseries.
